squeaky clean

Mom's brilliant idea...take a tubby in the kitchen sink.  This might not be the best idea when your little's favorite thing to do is CLIMB!  She was so slippery, squirming around in this big sink.  Add two big sisters to the mix and the chaos just grows.  Seeing that sweet little face looking up at me reminds me...she isn't too big yet.  So, for now I am going to strive to capture those moments.  Those little bit cray cray, always ridiculous, sweet adorable baby moments!

i'll eat you up, i love you so

What do you do when your littlest little dives right into her first cupcake...for her first birthday?!?!  You join her.  Sweet Lou might love frosting just as much as her momma do.

She will never remember this day or the way the frosting first tasted.  But I will.  I will remember how she giggled when she saw the cupcake.  I will tell her how she squealed when we sang to her because she just couldn't wait.

I hope that one day when she looks at these photos she will feel our love and she will see what an amazing day it was.

i'm obsessed

Let me introduce you to my new obsession...Swanky Shank.

I found this little gem on Instagram, and I could not be more in love.  Swanky Shank is a adorable shop on Etsy that specializes in creative hand crafted children's attire.

I ordered a few item for my little chick who is about to turn 1.  (Can you believe it...ONE year old?)

Swanky Shank onesies are made on Carter's brand onesies and are sewn with quality.  The designs are to die for.  And Jen, the owner, couldn't be more prompt or professional.

So the next time you are looking for that "special" outfit for your little, check out Swanky Shank.  I know you are going to fall in love...just like I have!

seashells by the seashore

The tide went out, and it was time for us to return from our amazing trip from Atlantic Beach NC back to Iowa.

For our family, the beach is magical.  It is a place for our littles to have the freedom to discover and play...a place to leave all those "indoor" rules behind.  (Especially for little miss R...try as she may, her emotions live loudly!)

We spent almost every day splashing in the shallow water of the Atlantic ocean.  When Brad, our chief crab hunter, and the kids were tired of sand in their swimsuits we headed into the pool.

I am excited to share with you a full gallery of images from a day at our beach.  These images capture the personality of all of our littles.  Which one do you think had the most fun?
